Wild Pacific Steelhead is richer than most other wild salmon species, giving it a moist and delicate texture. As with all our Wild Northwest Salmon, it’s also rich in health promoting omega-3s!
Wild Ocean Seafoods® smoked salmon are smoked over traditional alder wood using only Wild King (Chinook), Pacific Steelhead and Sockeye Salmon. The significant oil content of these salmon species make them ideal for smoking.
Of special concern in our smoking process is to maintain uniform smoke penetration. Unlike many smoked salmon providers, we trim the thinner filet belly & tail off to minimize the thickness variations, delivering a consistent texture and flavor.
All Wild Ocean Seafoods smoked salmon is boneless, with the additional step of removing the “pin bones” from the filet prior to smoking.
